Schneider electric is one of the world's top 500 enterprises with 100 years offoreign investment. The industrial automation division of its Shanghai R&D centerfocuses on the research and development of industrial automation equipment. Atpresent the industrial control industry market is saturated, segmentation market willbecome the future trend of the industry development. To continue to keep the head inindustrial control industry the market position of the enterprise, only by shorteningdevelopment cycles to quickly response the market demand in order to achieve tooccupy more market share, so that can ensure that the enterprise can long-termdevelopment and keep the lasting competitiveness. So how to ensure that the productresearch and development projects can be completed with high efficiency and highquality is a major issue facing Schneider Electric.
Based on the above background, the author consults a large number of books,papers, journals and other resources, sorts out the theoretical knowledge related toproject schedule management, and then uses methods and tools related to projectschedule management theoretical knowledge, including: WBS work breakdown,project activity network Figure, CPM critical path, PERT, CCPM critical chainmanagement technology, optimize the design of product research and developmentproject schedule management. At first, this paper expounds the present situation of thecompany product research and development projects, the company structure, projectmanagement and sequence of each phase in the work, as well as the project activitynode must delivery list, expert judgment and the interview method is used to identifythe project schedule delay the appearance of problem, and using the causality analysistools to the main problem back to find the root cause.
It is found that unreasonable schedule management plan, imperfect schedulecontrol and unreasonable organizational structure of R&D project are the main causes of project schedule delay. Research further put forward the R&D project scheduleoptimization measures, including: optimize the R&D project schedule plan;Strengthen the digital monitoring and process control of R&D project progress;Adjustthe organizational structure of R&D projects. Through the comparison of theoptimized design scheme, it is found that the optimized scheme can shorten the R&Dproject cycle, estimate the activity time and arrange the logical relationship betweenactivities more scientifically and rationally. The monitoring process is more rigorous,so that problems can be found and corrected in time. After the adjustment of the R &D organizational structure to make the project communication more smoothly, workmore efficiently. Then in the system, personnel, technical aspects of theimplementation of the optimization method to put forward the safeguard measures andspecific implementation steps. At the end of the paper, the thesis summarizes thewhole text and looks forward to the future.
This paper adopts the method of combining theory and practice. The purpose andresults of the research are mainly to apply the critical chain management technologyto the project management of industrial product research and development, and toprovide valuable reference information for industrial automation equipmentcompanies and the same domestic and foreign enterprises to improve the progressmanagement level of research and development projects.
